Castle that Never Was
"Wow, what did you guys do to her?" Xigbar asked as Demyx and Saïx returned, Demyx supporting an exhausted Summer. "Take turns beating the snot out of her?" Summer chuckled slightly. The three had arrived in the Grey Area, where Luxord and Xigbar were at.
"If only I were that fortunate," she said weakly.
"So what happened?" Luxord asked. Demyx sighed.
"I neglected to train her and she took off to fight Sephiroth," he said.
"And I suppose Saïx refrained Sephiroth from annihilating her?" Saïx looked at Demyx.
"Actually, it was Demyx who saved her life," he said. Xigbar looked at Demyx in surprise before turning his gaze back to Saïx.
"As if!" he exclaimed. "He's scared to death of Larxene. There's no way-"
"Believe it, dude," Summer muttered. "Out of the blue, Demyx came to my rescue. And please don't make a wise-crack about the unintentional rhyme." She then leaned on Demyx for further support.
"Yeah, Poppet's exhausted. Let's find a place for her to rest."
"After we bandage her back," Demyx said. "She took a nasty blow from Sephiroth earlier."
"I'll take her from here," Xemnas said as he approached the group. "Saïx, monitor Luke's training until I return." Saïx nodded as Xemnas gave him the template before carrying Summer out of the room. Demyx smiled at Xigbar.
"I think Xemnas is sneakier than you."
"Shut up," Xigbar said.
"By the way, why did you refer to her as 'Poppet'?" Luxord asked. The Freelancer shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know. For some reason, she looks like-"
"Xion," Saïx said. The other three looked at him in confusion.
"I was gonna say a broken doll, but Xion works, too. By the way, how did she come up?"
"I don't know. I just suddenly remembered her." Luxord and Demyx nodded in approval.
"That must be the reason for Demyx's sudden triumphant rescue," Luxord said, grinning.
"Not funny," Demyx said.
Radiant Garden
"Anyone seen Tifa?" Cloud asked as he entered Merlin's house. Inside were Cid, Yuffie, and Aerith. "I need to give her something." Yuffie looked over at Cloud and smiled.
"Nice to see ya, Cloud!" she exclaimed. "But to answer your question, no. We haven't seen her in a while."
"Do you know where she could be?"
"Well, she's been sort of mopey since she returned from the mission King Mickey gave her a while ago. She left the pictures from it here." Yuffie then gave Cloud the pictures.
"What are these from?"
"Her mission," Aerith said. "She borrowed one of my dresses for it." Cloud looked through the pictures Yuffie had given him.
"Strange creatures. Still, she looks happy."
"She wasn't happy when she came back," Cid said. "Probably because she had to wear a pink dress." Cloud looked at him.
"Not funny." He then looked back at the pictures. "I wonder who these seven are."
"From what Tifa said, they're human Toa. Whatever a Toa is." Almost immediately, Sora, Riku, and Kairi came in.
"Hey guys," Sora said. Cloud gave Sora the pictures.
"Look where Tifa was sent to for a while," he said. The three then looked through the pictures until they came to the seven human Toa.
"What a minute, the kid in the black shirt looks familiar."
"How so?" Yuffie asked.
"He was training with Lexaeus, member five in Organization XIII, at the Olympus Coliseum. Riku and I battled them."
"How the hell did the Organization come back?" Cid asked.
"Not sure. But they must be training these guys."
"Well, I know one thing's for sure. It's gonna end bad for either or both of them. Has to." Kairi pulled one of the pictures out.
"What's this creature?" she asked, pointing at the being in general. "The green one with the tail."
"A Makuta," Tifa answered as she walked in. She looked at the picture. "Her name is Cobress."
"You know her?" Cloud asked. Tifa nodded.
"She left the Makuta for the Toa and has been their ally for a while."
"I see. So this is where you went."
"Yep. And to be honest, I don't want to put myself in danger like that again. I would've died if it hadn't been for her." She pointed at the one girl in the human Toa picture.
"Wait a minute. She fits the description Sephiroth gave me earlier." Tifa smiled.
"So, I take it that means you've made amends with him."
"Mostly. He said he engaged in battle with the girl and would've killed her if it hadn't been for some guy in a black cloak."
"I'm guessing it was Saïx," Riku said. Cloud looked at him.
"Does he have brown hair worn in a mullet?"
"Wait, what?" Sora said. "Demyx fought Sephiroth?"
"And won, from the sounds of it. Why is that surprising?"
"The guy's a lousy fighter. How did he win?"
"He used these." With this, Cloud pulled out a pair of odd blue hooks. Tifa gasped.
"Those are Summer's," she said. "Toa Gali gave them to her."
"Do you think she's going to be alright?" Aerith asked.
"Who knows?" Cloud said. "But if these human Toa are training with the Organization, then something must be going on."

People are saying "Not funny" a lot here. Oh well. *gasp* Xemnas, being nice? That's not right! He must know something's wrong. That's okay, Xigbar and Luxord are still surprised that Demyx, not Saïx, came to my rescue. And Tifa explains that the Laura we had been with was really herself, just wearing one of Aerith's dresses. We also bring in Cloud, Yuffie, and Cid. And yes, Cid only curses once, but since it's only "hell" that's nothing to worry about. From the sounds of things, Cloud and Sephiroth are on cordial terms, but still most likely rivals nonetheless. Next, we get back to the human Toa as they get their training finished.
