Castle that Never Was
"Man, Summer's gonna yell at someone for them scratches," Todd said. Jason nodded, a sad look on his face. He and Xaldin had already arrived with Xigbar, along with Todd, Lexaeus, and Marluxia. The Toa and Organization members were waiting in the Grey Area for the remainder of the groups.
"It's most likely going to be me," Jason said. "Man, I can already hear the yelling! 'Jason, how in the world can you get yourself hurt? Do you have no self sympathy?!' Or at least something like that." Todd started laughing. "That's not funny!"
"Nah, it's just funny how you mimicked her behavior like that."
"Like what?" Summer asked as she stood behind Todd, her arms crossed. Jason whimpered.
"I'm in trouble," he said. Summer went over to him to look at his face more carefully.
"Wow, what happened?"
"Training happened. I got jumped by pirates. I swear I was trying my best to avoid it."
"Jason, settle down. Injuries happen."
"Yeah, but-" Summer held a hand up.
"No buts. I had to find something else to train against because Demyx wouldn't help and look what happens. I get to finish the X on my back."
"Wait, what?" Xaldin asked. "Finish the X on your back?" Summer nodded.
"Yep."
"Who'd ya fight?" Todd asked. "Sephiroth?"
"Sadly, yes. If Demyx hadn't distracted me, I probably would've beaten Sephiroth."
"Did Demyx distract you with a shiny object?" Jason asked. Xaldin tried to refrain from laughing out loud, with little success.
"No, he didn't use a shiny object. You're the second person to say that."
"So what happened?"
"He stormed off after we got into an argument, so I didn't expect him to come back and cheer for me while I was fighting Sephiroth."
"You get distracted by shiny objects?" Xaldin asked in amusement. Summer glared at him.
"Not funny."
"I thought it was."
"Xion?" someone new asked. Summer turned around to look at the person. The speaker looked like it could've been Vexen.
"Pardon?"
"Oh, sorry. You-"
"Hi, Summer," Luke said as he came into the room. "I see Vexen already mistook you for someone else."
"Seems like it," Summer agreed. "So that's Vexen."
"Summer fought Sephiroth," Jason blurted out. Summer glared at him.
"Jason!"
"What? You did."
"You didn't have to point that out."
"But it's true!"
"So? You still didn't have to point that out."
"I know. And the X on your back is finished." Summer's glare darkened, Xigbar noticing this and laughing.
"I recognize that look," he said. "I used to get that same exact look all the time from any Keyblade wielder." The girl Toa sighed.
"Not funny," she said. She later noticed Jesse looking around, a concerned look on his face. "Problems, Jesse?"
"Nope, everything's fine," he said. Summer walked over to him.
"Are you sure about that?" Jesse nodded.
"Yes, I'm sure. I just, um.... I lost someone." Summer looked around, counting the human Toa.
"Jesse, we're all here. You, me, Jason, Carl, Luke, and Todd."
"Yeah, I know. But-"
"Daddy!" a child's voice called out. Summer turned around to find Jacob giving Luxord a hug.
"Aw!" she said. "That is so cute! Wait, why is Jacob here?"
"I'll explain later," Jesse muttered. Then to Jacob he added, "Jacob, that guy is Luxord."
"I know," Jacob said. "He's my daddy's Nobody."
"What?" the Toa said together. Summer added, "Your dad became a Heartless?"
"Yeah."
"When was this?" Jason asked.
"When Jacob turned four," Luxord answered. "It was sometime after Amber and my original had gotten into an argument." Jacob nodded.
"Yikes."
"So, Summer," Jesse said. "You're not mad?" Summer looked at him in confusion.
"Why would I be mad?" she asked.
"Well, Jacob's here training with us."
"And?"
"We put him up against a Heartless," Axel said.
"And?"
"That Heartless was massive," Roxas said.
"And?" Xigbar started laughing.
"You guys act like you're afraid of her nagging," he said.
"Oh, I see what you guys mean. Don't worry about it."
"Wait, don't worry about it?" Jesse asked. "Why shouldn't we worry about it?"
"Who do you think started Jacob's training in the first place?"
"Wha-? You're the reason he's so good?" Summer looked at him in surprise.
"Is he really that good?"
"Yeah," Roxas said. "He's really that good." The girl Toa grinned.
"I taught him well, then." Demyx started laughing.
"I guess you don't need any training," he said. Summer looked at him.
"Don't get too ahead of yourself. I still need it."
"Not with your back stitched up," Jesse said. "And besides, you look exhausted."
"You do need the rest," Luxord said. Summer moaned in disappointment.
"Aw, come on!" she whined. "I really need the training."
"Rest for now, then later you can return to training."
"Guys, I'm fine. I don't need rest."
"Summer," Jesse said. "I think you need some space." Summer looked at him in confusion.
"Wait, what?"
"Your claustrophobia." The girl Toa looked around and suddenly shivered in discomfort.
"Right... Sorry." Jesse then led her outside to Nothing's Call. The seven Nobodies looked at them in confusion.
"Summer's claustrophobic?" Demyx asked.
"Yep," Jason said, nodding. "From what Carl said, she'll cower like a little baby when she's too confined."
"Really?"
"Yep," Carl said. "You should've seen her when she realized that Onu-Koro was an underground village. I didn't think she could curl up so tightly." Jason started snickering.
"That must've been before you ran into a tree," he said. The others started laughing.

Large crowds make me nervous, especially if there's just fourteen other people. I like Jesse for many reasons, and the fact that he remembers my claustrophobia is one of them. Of course I'm going to make some more ties with the Toa. Luxord being the Nobody of Jacob's dad is one of the newer ones. Next, we've got a special appearance from an old face.
