Castle that Never Was
"Looks like Jason's not doing so well," Xigbar said. "Poor Xaldin, too." Saïx sighed. The two just happened to be in the same room together as they were monitoring their respective Toa, Xigbar monitoring Jason while Saïx was monitoring Summer. Everyone else were in different parts of the castle.
"It doesn't look like Summer is doing too well herself, either," Saïx said. "Even so, she's still eager to train." Xigbar looked at him.
"You're kidding, right?" Saïx shook his head.
"I think she may even get Demyx to start training more often himself." The elder Nobody snickered.
"As if. I'm gonna wish her luck with that. Not one of us can push him into training more often. She won't be any different."
"We'll just have to see about that, then, won't we?" Saïx looked back at his template. "What I find surprising is that she knows that she's getting ill and yet she still pushes herself." Xigbar shrugged his shoulder.
"Maybe she doesn't like laziness. She and Xaldin would be a decent couple."
"No. It has to be something else."
"Well, this is interesting," Luxord said as he approached the other two. They looked at him in confusion.
"What is?" Xigbar asked.
"This Carl boy is getting his memory back rather quickly."
"Sounds like stones aren't his only specialty." Luxord looked back at him.
"You're correct. The boy mentioned that his second specialty was speed." Saïx nodded.
"That must mean the other human Toa have a secondary ability as well," he said.
"Seems like it. How are your two Toa doing?"
"Ill," Xigbar and Saïx said together. Saïx then added, "Summer seems to know that something is wrong with her, but is still eager to train."
"Let's hope that rubs off on Demyx, then."
"As if," Xigbar said. "Oh, and Jason gets sea-sick. Poor kid." Luxord chuckled slightly.
"Poor Xaldin. He's the one who has to put up with that."
"Yeah, true." He looked away in confusion. "Odd."
"What?" Saïx asked.
"Anybody else feel like they're gaining emotions?" Luxord nodded slowly.
"Concern is one of them," he said.
"How so?"
"Like I'm starting to grow a little concerned for the two getting sick." Saïx nodded.
"I'm starting to feel that, too," he said. He looked back at his template in confusion. "I'm also confused."
"Why's that?" Xigbar asked. Saïx looked back at him.
"Summer didn't ask why her area, or partner, looked familiar."
"Jason did."
"So did Carl," Luxord noted. "Do you think she still has her memories?"
"Not sure," Saïx said. "Makes one wonder, though." He then zoomed in on Summer. "Here's something interesting."
"The scars?" Xigbar asked, noting the scratches.
"No, the necklace." The elder Nobody looked carefully at the necklace worn by the female Toa.
"Are those beads.... electric?" He looked back at Saïx. "Those beads look electric."
"Meaning the chain they're on is probably some sort of rubber." Luxord looked at the necklace.
"I don't think so," he said. "It has too much of a flesh-like texture." He then looked back at the other two. "What is that necklace made out of?"
"Demyx better ask so we can get that answer."
"Hey guys," Xigbar said. "Here's another example for that concern emotion." Saïx sighed.
"And what would that be?"
"Okay, it may not actually be concern in general, more like paranoia, but I've got this bad feeling Teridax is up to something. Why else would he be here?" Luxord nodded.
"Good point," he said. "It may just have something to do with the Toa."
"We'll keep a watch on him and the Toa," Saïx said. "But we also have to keep our emotions in check."
"Can't help but agree with that."

Back at the castle, we check up on Xigbar, Saïx, and Luxord. For some reason, they're starting to feel emotions, despite them supposed to being Nobodies. Xigbar and X-face are kinda easy to keep in character, but Luxord I may have a little troubles with. And yes, Xigbar was the first to mention the scars on my face I received in the events of Makuta's Test (namely the nightmare), but Saïx was the first to mention my virus necklace. That one is going to confuse the Organization members big time. Next chapter we get back to the Toa and their training.
