"But seriously, Tahu is counting on us human Hordika, and Kia, to keep you out of trouble," Summer told Kopaka.  She and Jesse called a Na'Vi-group discussion, with Kia and Kopaka participating.
"But this morning he didn't truly trust any of you humans," Kopaka stated.  "Why a sudden change of heart now?"
  "That would be Kia's doing."
"Is that a good thing?" Jacob asked.
"Kind of depends on what else Kia's been keeping quiet lately," Luke said coldly.
"Luke, don't start," Summer said.  "I have my own secret, but it's way too dangerous to tell."
"And how is it so dangerous?"
"Telling it would result in life loss and I don't want to risk anyone getting killed."
"Sounds like you made a deal with a Makuta," Kopaka said.  Summer nodded.
"As long as I don't tell that secret, nobody will get killed."  The Toa frowned at her.
"Summer, this is a Makuta you made a deal with.  Whichever one it was, they won't keep their end of your bargain."
"He'll have to if he doesn't want me to hurt him again because I will if he breaks that promise."
"That wouldn't be a threat, would it?" Todd asked.  Summer shook her head.
"No.  My family doesn't make threats.  We make promises, and we'll keep them if we have to."
"Yikes," Jason said.  "Remind me not to make a violent promise with Summer."
"I don't understand something," Kia said.  "Why does Tahu want me to keep his slushy brother out of trouble?"  The disguised Toa glared at her.
"Hey!" he exclaimed.  Kia giggled at his frustration.
"Sorry, slushy Paka."  This time, Kopaka growled at her.
"Knock it off, you two," Jesse said.  "Kia, Tahu is counting on you to keep his brother safe.  You clearly did something to make him trust us with Kopaka's secret."  Kia nodded.
  "Yeah, that's true."
"Hey Summer," Luke said.  "I have a question for you."
"It better not concern my anger issues," Summer said.
"It doesn't.  I was just wondering about who owned a pair a Tweety pajamas."  Summer hid her face in her hands as she blushed brightly.
"They're yours, aren't they Summer?" Carl asked.  Summer could only nod in response.  "Aw, that's cute!"  Luke smiled.
"So that bumblebee-colored book bag is yours, too?"  Another nod in response.
"You weren't looking through that bag, were you?" Kopaka asked.  Luke shook his head.
"I kind of didn't have to.  It's like I saw right through it.  I did have to look in it afterwards to make sure I wasn't crazy."  The Toa nodded.
"Sounds like you have my mask power."  Kopaka was suddenly confused.  "Wait, what are Tweety pajamas?"  Summer sat up suddenly.
"Jesse, I need to talk to you about suddenly," she said.
"Please don't let it be about lava surfing," Jesse said.
"It is, but it's not what you think.  Tahu somehow managed to talk me into going lava surfing with you and I think we should go tonight before I change my mind."  The group was silent for several minutes.
"Well it's about time hot-head did something right," Kopaka said, breaking the silence.  Luke smiled.
"Not funny, Kopaka," Jesse said.  "Summer, are you sure you want to go tonight?"
"Yep," Summer said, standing up.  "The sooner, the better."
"Alright, have it your way."  He then stood up.  "Hopefully, we'll be back soon."
"Nah, take your time," Carl said with a smile.  Jesse smiled back before he and Summer left.
"But seriously, what are Tweety pajamas?" Kopaka asked.  Luke grinned as he pulled out a yellow and black book bag.
"Just a pair of pajamas with Tweety all over," he said, taking out said pajamas.  Carl started laughing.
"I never thought Summer would wear those," he said.

"Sounds like Summer accidentally brought back a disguised Toa," Mutran said, grinning.  "This may lead to a broken promise on my part."
"Don't Mutran," Cobress hissed.  "Not unless you want to be humiliated by her again."
  "Consider it-"
Mutran, Chirox said telepathically. Mutran sighed in frustration.
"Great.  Chirox."  Then telepathically he added, What do you want now, Chirox?
The really Manny survived.  Mutran's eyes went wide in shock.
What?  How?  I thought he starved to death!
I thought that, too, until he started moaning in pain.
Great.  If Summer finds out about this, she'll be sure to go back and rescue him.
Then don't tell her.  As she said when she was here, it's a no brainer.
"I hate human terms," Mutran said out loud.  "They make absolutely no sense."  Cobress grinned.
"Get over it, you big baby," she said.  Mutran glared at her.
"Now I know you've been around humans too long.  You're starting to talk like them."
"Oh, suck it up already, Mutran.  You're going to be stuck with them, too.  You might as well start acting like them."  The scientist crossed his arms in frustration.
  "Bite me."

******

"Alright, that really was fun," Summer said with a smile.  Jesse chuckled.  After at least an hour of lava surfing, Jesse and Summer were lying in a to rest for a while.
"What did we tell ya?" Jesse said.
"Okay, you were right."  She looked over at him.  "You both were right."
"Yeah, well, sometimes we don't have to try."  Summer smiled, looking back at the stars again.
"I still think it's kinda weird that that red star is a lot bigger than the others."
"No kidding.  And check out that cluster of stars close to it."
  "The different colored ones?"
  "Yep."
"Cool."  Jesse then looked at the luminous specks on his arms.
"When James Cameron came up with Avatar, did he intentionally base the skin colors and specks off the sky?"
"That was my guess, too."  Summer then looked back at Jesse.  "You want to know what else I noticed?"  Jesse looked at her.
  "What's that?"
"The stripes on our faces look similar to the designs on the Toa's masks.  It wasn't just our colors."
"How did you notice that?"  Summer smiled, causing Jesse to grin.  "Your mask notes."
  "Right."
"And the fact that you pay attention to detail."
"Yep."  She shivered suddenly.  "It's a little chilly out."  Jesse nodded.
"Yeah, no kidding."  Summer then moved closer to him to warm up.  He chuckled.  "What are you doing?"
  "Trying to keep warm."
"You do like me, don't you?"
"Took you that long to figure it out?"
"No.  I kind of figured you liked me when you kissed me that first day here."  Summer laughed slightly.
"Oh yeah.  I remember that now."  She sighed.  "I can't help but think about what Tahu said about us human Hordika having abilities we didn't understand yet."
"Well, I know we can use mask powers."
"True.  Luke looking in my book bag was a good example."  Jesse laughed.
"Yeah, true.  But what about the rest of us?"
"Not sure."  Summer yawned.  "Maybe we can figure them out tomorrow."  Jesse nodded, yawning.
"True."  With this, he kissed her on the cheek.  "Consider that pay back for the first one."  Summer giggled.
  "I love you, too."
Darn it, Luke! Why did you have to peak in my book bag? I guess in this chapter, Luke kinda discovers part of his Toa powers (aka, his Toa mask powers). And also, what? Manny survived? That's weird. My character saw him dead herself. Oh well. Since Chirox hasn't been in this for a while, I thought I'd pop him in. Also, humans are starting to rub off on Cobress and partially Mutran. This isn't the first time Kopaka's been called "slushie Paka". And yes, Chirox did learn the "it's a no brainer" thing from me from chapter 14.

Next: Freakin' Mutran does kind of break his end of the bargain I made with him.
